SAVE A LIFE

Our Mission
We are a small 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to jointly helping the local community and the stray/feral cat population, by spaying/neutering and vaccinating the feral and stray cats. We do this to keep the stray/feral cat population healthy, and to prevent over-population and disease. This also benefits the local community in saved expenses of euthanizing stray and feral cats in the local shelter.
We also work to socialize the stray and feral cats. It is often easy to see that a stray - and even a feral cat - was once someone's pet. The circumstances that led to their life on the street, is a story that we may never know. But what we can do, is give them the opportunity and time to adjust to life inside again. In so doing, healthy cats can be socialized to become someone's pet again and put up for adoption. If a cat cannot be socialized, it will be released in the area it was found, after spaying/neutering, to live out the rest of it's natural life.
Pregnant stray/feral cats are allowed, in a confined area, to deliver their kittens in a safe atmosphere, where the kittens can become used to human contact and put up for adoption.
Our Vets
We are affiliated, through Spay/Neuter Now, with Town & Country Vet Clinics, located in Ogdensburg, Potsdam, and Massena.
Cat of the Week
Lucinda is a little female kitten, approx 6 months old, who was found in a barn up Malone way. She is quiet and watchful. But once you win her trust...the purring is never ending. She is spayed and all her shots are up to date.
Adoption Requirements
Our Affliation
There is no cost to adopt from Kitten Pause TNR, although we do appreciate any donations given. However, there are conditions to adoption:
-
If you adopt a kitten that has not been spayed/neutered, you MUST fill out an application with SNN, and agree to have the kitten spayed/neutered at a future date.
-
If you encounter problems with the cat/kitten after adoption, you MUST return the cat/kitten to Kitten Pause TNR.
